Free and open to the public
As part of the Chicago Design Museum’s City of Ideas: Architects’ Voices and Visions exhibition, curated by Vladimir Belogolovsky, MAS Context has organized Couplings. The event explores the influence of past projects, built or unbuilt, in shaping contemporary thinking in architecture. Each of the eight Chicago-based architects participating in the event will share a project by another architect that they consider relevant for their practice today. This framework establishes conceptual connections between projects while providing a snapshot of the opportunities and issues at stake in architecture.
The event features the following architects:
– Paola Aguirre (borderless)
– Katherine Darnstadt (Latent Design)
– Judith DeJong (UIC)
– Sean Lally (weathers)
– Ang Li (Ang Li Projects)
– Julie Michiels (Perkins+Will)
– Ryan Palider (Palider Works)
– Eric Rothfeder (Eric Rothfeder Architect).
The event will be held at the Chicago Design Museum located on the 3rd floor of Block 37 (108 N State St, 3rd floor, Chicago, IL 60602).
