In this stop, hosted at Public Works gallery in Wicker Park, the exhibition features 100 architecture magazines, fanzines and journals from over twenty countries that provide an alternative to the established architectural press. MAS Context has been part of the itinerant exhibition since the beginning and, in this occasion, Archizines is featuring its latest issue, IMPROBABLE.

To accompany the exhibition, Public Works has organized two public discussions and sound installations:

– Saturday, September 28 will include Kyle May (CLOG), Sofia Leiby + Jason Lazarus (Chicago Artist Writers), Brandon Biederman (Fresh Meat) and our editor in chief Iker Gil, with a sound installation by Kyle Vegter & Daniel R. Dehaan of SOUND ROOM with special guest Levy Lorenzo.

– Saturday, October 19, will feature James Goggin (Practise), Ludovico Centis (San Rocco), Dylan Fracareta (PIN-UP) and Matthew Harlan (SOILED), with a sound installation by THE–DRUM.

The exhibition installation is designed by Design With Company, an architectural practice formed by Stewart Hicks and Allison Newmeyer. We featured their work in our Speed issue and they lectured in our first MAS Context : Analog event in Chicago.

The exhibition runs until November 4, 2013 so make sure to check it out before that date. For more information about Archizines in Chicago, please visit the official website.
