Supporting Cultural Initiatives

The effect that the coronavirus pandemic is having around the world is immense. During these ongoing difficult times, the most important thing is to protect the health of the communities that are at risk and stay at home as much as possible. Careless actions by a few can have grave consequences for many.

The self-quarantine, the closing of institutions, and other measures have had a tremendous impact in many sectors, including culture. The work of many people in the cultural sector across the world has been directly affected, from organizing institutions, curators, designers, authors, and many others who have worked countless hours on an exhibition, a lecture, or other public events that ultimately won’t be enjoyed as intended.

We want to support as many of you as possible, even if it’s a tiny bit, within this complicated context. If you curated an exhibition that was canceled / shut down early due to the coronavirus outbreak and you would like to share the text from the catalogue (in English) and images of the exhibition / work to create a “virtual exhibition,” send us an email and we’ll work on sharing as many of them as possible. We will focus on those exhibitions related to architecture, design, photography, and urban design. While we know that this won’t be able to replicate the experience of seeing the work in person, we hope it helps to support and make visible the work that many of you have done.

If there are other ways that we can support the cultural sector, do not hesitate to let us know.

Stay safe and support the health of your community.
